Avatars: The greatest rage ever invented has hit Neopia like an Iron Lupe Sword! Avatars seem to be all anyone talks about anymore. What is it about these insidious little items that makes people spend and search until their minds go numb? If you consider what they make people do, is it any wonder that the TNT has been cranking them out in record numbers lately? As long as an average Neopian is on a "Great Avatar Hunt" they are not as concerned with the little matter of the missing stocks, or the sudden appearance of pop-up ads all over the place. Why, this could be just the beginning of some of the greatest diversions ever created by the team! I recently watched as one of our members began to complain about certain ads suddenly appearing all over Neopia. Then, this member realized that they didn't have a particular avatar. In no time, she was happy and on to her next search. Coincidence? I think not. No, fellow SBGers, avatars may seem like a harmless little past-time, but in truth they are a devilish plot created by the ENT to keep you busy so you don't notice the fact that there is still no NeoSchool, or any number of things they have promised for some time. They are a tool of the team to keep you spellbound and busy while they continue to delay and postpone. Do not be fooled! Stand up for yourselves! You know you will never get that silly trophy anyway, right? There is also no way you will ever use all of the hundreds of currently available avies even if you tried. It is time we let the ENT know that we are not so easily fooled. I reject the great avie mania in the name of properly run websites. I shan't go searching for a single one...and I will be keeping my eyes peeled so as to protect those who currently cannot let go of their addiction to see the truth. Ooooo...look! A new avatar with a Draik on it! Shiny!...
A Few Good Reasons Why How many times have you gone to the Neopets Guild Board and just couldn't find anyone to talk to? Well, it seems to have happened quite a bit this week, judging by the amount of people attempting to resuscitate it. Perhaps there is a reason why this keeps happening. Let's examine what those could be, shall we? 1 - It is currently 3:00 AM Neopian Time. Many of our
members are still asleep. Shhh...they get cranky if you wake them. The fact is that while we do have the most active board in Neopia, occasionally it actually quiets down a little. Not to worry though, it will eventually pick up. Believe me. In my search for news, I often have to wade through 50 pages a day just to get the info I need. Many messages are just complaints that the board is too quiet. This makes it even more difficult to cull the good info from the "junk". If the board is quiet, and you feel like talking, either head for the Neopets Boards or try Neodaq. You'll make my job, and my reporters jobs, a lot easier. Thanks. Then, the next day, he won another 2,000 from the wheel and pulled out a ticket for 500 np searching for buried treasure. Yarr! Finally on the 26th he found 1000 Neopoints on the floor!!! What a week for drunksage! yuyudevil - Young yuyudevil found a very shiny (silver) dubloon lying in the sand on the 23rd. Well done!comquaq - Finished the whole ground floor of his neohome, and now has 25 rooms! Who does your decorating comquaq? natureladyrx - Lovely natureladyrx had an awesome lucky streak on the 23rd. She snagged a scratchard and a keychain from snowy, found a codestone, a lupe snack pack, and a piece of the secret lab map all as random events! Wow!sniggy102 - On the 23rd, sniggy102 found a nice shiny golden dubloon in the sand while visiting Coltzan's Shrine. Then got a random shop increase on the 25th as well! WTG Sniggy! brainyiscool - Found a yummy yellow negg on the floor on the 23rd. This is your brain, this is your brain on neggs...congrats brainy!dungeonmaster266 - Played Treasure of the Black Pawkeet on the 24th and won 5,000 Neopoints! Woohoo! kamekazekidz2310 - Found a piece of the lab map while playing dice-a-roo on the 24th. Well done!elmochu - Our silly elmochu found a dubloon while visiting Coltzan on the 24th. Then she won 10,000 from that lovable kiosk wocky later that day. The next day, she won 12,ooo from slots, and her luck hadn't run out yet! The 26th She found a piece of the secret laboratory map, and won 5,000 Neopoints from the Treasure of the Black Pawkeet!! Whew! Nice lucky streak Elmo! nyyankeesfan72 - Taelia gave nyyankeesfan72 an Ultranova, a magical snowball, and 1535 Neopoints on the 24th! Yay NY!jcamille1996 - One of our new members, jcamille1996, was given a mysterious lottery ticket on the 24th. Hope you have a winner! akorr - Played and won 10,000 nps on Black Pawkeet slots on the 24th. Then, on the 26th he finally won something on Brucie B slots! 25k! It was his first purchase of an unbuyable in a shop!
